Tesamore™ is tesamorelin, a synthetic analogue of the 44-amino-acid human growth hormone–releasing hormone. A trans-3-hexenoic acid group on the N-terminus increases resistance to enzymatic degradation, extending bioactivity while preserving the natural pulsatile GH signalling model.

RESEARCH BACKGROUND
Tesamorelin is the subject of a pivotal phase 3, double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled trial published in the New England Journal of Medicine. In 412 adults with HIV and abdominal fat accumulation, daily tesamorelin significantly decreased visceral adipose tissue and dyslipidaemia over 26 weeks without worsening overall glucose tolerance.
A pooled analysis of two pivotal phase 3 trials (806 participants) reported a −15.4% treatment effect on visceral adipose tissue at 26 weeks, with the reduction maintained to 52 weeks. This body of evidence supported regulatory approval of tesamorelin in 2010.
